DT282/3 - Study Abroad opportunities

Dear DT282/3 Students,

Please find below a link the the presentation about the study abroad option presentation which William O'Mahony gave today in the Databases 2 and Software Engineering 3 modules this morning.

A reminder again that the deadline date for study abroad applications is this Friday, 28th September 2018.  If you apply now, you are not committed to the study abroad programme and you can withdraw your application at a later date if you change your mind.

To apply please click on the following link, complete the application, print it off, bring it to William to sign before sending it to the DIT Central International Office (this all has to be done by this Friday).

When you click on the application form link you might see the screenshot below. The website is still secure so “click on “advanced” ( depending on browser- example used is google chrome) then “Proceed to dit.moveonnet.eu” it will then bring you to the application system page for your application “

William is located in room KE1-007a. If he is not in the office when you go, could you please bring your application form to Dr. Michael Collins who will be able to also sign it.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact William directly.

Welcome

Dear DT282 Students,

hope you had a good summer and are looking forward to the new academic year!

My name is Svetlana, and I'm the new chair for DT282. Your year mentors are
Year 1: Dr. Art Sloan
Year 2: Mr. Richard Lawlor
Year 3: Dr. Marisa Llorens-Salvador
Year 4: Mr. Paul Bourke

The student handbooks for all years are available on webcourses (module name "PI-DT282: Course Information") - make sure you are all enrolled in the module. I have to do few small updates to the student handbooks, but they should be all finalised by next week. Also, keep an eye on this blog for important messages throughout the year.

Classes start on Monday, 17th September - please check the timetables regularly for the first couple of weeks as there may be last minute changes until things settle down.

Hope you have an enjoyable and successful year, and looking forward to meeting you all over the next few weeks!
If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact either me or your year mentor.

Kind regards
Svetlana
