Defer and Withdraw date to note

If you are considering to defer or withdraw, please note the important date (Oct 30). You must submit your application before this date to be eligible for a full refund of fees paid (less a €100 admin fee).

Year 3 - Registering your modules

Attemtion all DT282 Year 3 students,

You should have received/about to receive and email from Registrations Office asking you to de-register from modules you are not taking.

To do this, please do one of the following:

1. If you are an EDDIT/ KEDDIT student who is studying abroad in Semester 1, please drop all modules except for Study Abroad modules 1,2,3,4 in both semester 1 and 2.

2. If you are taking Semester 1 in DIT and going on exchange in Semester 2, please drop only Study Abroad modules 1,2,3,4 in Semester 1. Also, drop all modules in Semester 2 except for Study Abroad modules 1,2,3,4.

3. If you are taking Semester 1 in DIT and going on international work placement in Semester 2, please drop only Study Abroad modules 1,2,3,4 in Semester 1. Also, drop all modules in Semester 2 except for either (i) Work Placement 30 ECTS if your placement is 6 months or (ii) International Industry Placement 20 ECTS if your placement is 4 - 6 months.

Final Year Project (FYP) - Important Notice for Year 4 students

Attention all Year 4 students:
 
The FYP Interim report submitted by final year students at the end of semester 1 in previous years will be replaced with new "Interim Deliverables". These deliverables will comprise of:

  • The weekly meeting logs with the supervisor, which should be uploaded onto Webcourses each week for the supervisor to access. These logs constitute a part of the Project Management aspect of the project
  • The Interim report
  • Software prototype

These Interim Deliverables will constitute 20% of the overall FYP grade (previously the standalone Interim report constituted 15%).
